ABOUT BFW COMPANY My wife, Donna, and I started dating during high school in the mid 70's. Her car tag was BFW-276. She lived on US Hwy 276 and her mother coined the phrase "Bobby Foster's Woman". It was good for a laugh. Donna and I were married in 1977. The tag was still around but the phrase then changed to Bobby Foster's Wife. Eventually the tag went away as did the phrase. It would surface every now and then with a laugh. In 2000 Donna started a small retail business selling embroidered shirts for my surveyors society, she called her business BFW Company. It was kind of catchy, and had a little story behind it for those who would ask, "What does BFW stand for?" As the TAG-FLAGS idea progressed into a reality, we just kept the name and here we are. Donna and I have been married now for 25 years. She is my life and I love her more than anything. I thank God for her every day. She is my partner in all of our life experiences. We have raised two great sons, who got her looks and brains, and we thank God for that also! We are not a huge corporation without a personality. We are a Christian family, with morals, ethics and the Golden Rule ("Do unto others as you would have others do unto you") as our motto for business and life. We work hard for our money and we don't waste it on inferior products. Likewise, we don't think you should worry about wasting your hard earned money either, that's why we are producing premium quality parts at the most affordable prices possible. We are located in the foothills of South Carolina, about 15 miles from the North Carolina/South Carolina state line. We have a lot of really good places to ride near by, so if you happen to be coming through give us a buzz or an e-mail and we'll look for you or maybe even hook up with you, for a ride. Check out the "Photo Gallery" for some pictures of our area, or send us some photos of your ride. ABOUT TAG-FLAGS When I first purchased my bike, I immediately started looking for a way to display a flag on it. My searching didn't turn up much at all. The HD dealership wanted $25 for just a flag that tied on the sissy bar with cable ties and it really didn't fit on my backrest right. I thought, something had to be out there. So for the time being I bought a $0.99 flag on a stick at the local 5 & 10 and wedged it into the back of the passenger backrest and kept looking. As the months rolled on, I noticed that I was not the only one wanting to display a flag. Lots of bikes had flags and most all were "Jerry Rigged" on by some homemade device, as mine was. Some were tied on with shoelaces, cable ties, duct tape, rags, coated electrical wire and other stuff, anything to get a flag flying. It was after going to Bike week at Daytona Beach, Florida and not finding a holder there, that I began my quest to design and develop a quality flag holder for motorcycles. We have spent many months designing ideas, building prototypes and testing these holders on different bikes. We have searched our local area to find the best quality products and workmanship for our kits. This helps keep the cost reasonable for our customers.
We have developed different Plate Attachments to offset obstacles such as luggage racks and saddlebags. Our Kits fit many different makes and models of motorcycles. We have tried to make our kits as universal as possible, but there are still obstacles to overcome. Lay down and custom tag brackets are some of the problems we are currently dealing with. Check out the actual pictures throughout the rest of the web-site, you'll see how the kits attach and what the parts actually look like. Then decide which one is right for you and your bike.
